What Is Stitch Buffalo?

Stitch Buffalo is a safe and welcoming community of women supporting women. It is a place for people who love textiles to sew, embroider, weave, and more. Participating in Stitch Buffalo is FREE. You do not need to speak English to participate.

At Stitch Buffalo You Can:

  • Make friends, meet new people

  • Get tools and supplies

  • Improve your skills or learn new ones

  • Earn money by selling your handmade items

This is a time for refugee women to come learn new stitch techniques, gather supplies for new projects, and drop off finished projects for Stitch Buffalo to sell.

Note: These times can change depending on the season and holidays.

Can I Earn Money?

If you choose, you can earn money by selling your handmade items. Stitch Buffalo will display your items in our store or on our website. When an item sells, you will make 60% of the selling price. 40% of the selling price will go to Stitch Buffalo.

Where Can I Work?

You can work from home on a flexible schedule or in the Stitch Buffalo studio during open hours.

How Does It Work?

  1. You make something and bring it to Stitch Buffalo.

  2. You put your name on your work.

  3. We put it in our shop.

  4. A customer buys it.

  5. Stitch Buffalo pays you every month for what you have sold. You will be paid by check.
