Kantha Scarves

Kantha is a type of traditional embroidery from Bangladesh and in the Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura and Odisha. Old saris were stitched together with a running stitch to make cushions, quilts and lightweight blankets.

We have taken this technique and applied it to modern day fabric scraps. Our kantha scarves are made from a patchwork of fabric gathered from lightweight garments that are no longer wearable.
