Mindful Stitching: Fabric Collage—July 19, 2025 (10:00am–1:00pm)
$50.00

Slow stitching is a mindfulness practice that is rooted in sustainability. The practice itself is a thoughtful and meditative one: it is mindfulness in action.

In this class, students will learn how to slow stitch using tiny fabric scraps and simple straight stitches. Through the process of stitching, students will be able to be present and clear their minds. By the end of the class, each student will have created a unique piece of stitched art that can be framed, glued to a favorite journal, or stitched onto a jacket or backpack.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
This is a beginner course. Creative people of all skills are welcome.

INSTRUCTOR:
Zona Lucia is a mixed media artist who incorporates stitched work in her artwork. She has been in the Lewiston Art Festival and the Allentown Art Festival and has previously taught journaling/paper crafting as part of an art therapy initiative for a local non-profit that assists women who have experienced domestic violence.
