Group Instruction

We’re excited to share our love of textile arts and are able to provide instruction to learners of all ages and skill levels. Stitch Buffalo specializes in creative learning solutions, and we look forward to talking with you about your needs!

Cultural Threads Curriculum: Child and Teen/Adult Education

Stitch Buffalo staff and artists are available to teach private classes to small or large groups, either in our studio or at your location. Our Cultural Threads curriculum establishes a core set of textile art projects/skills that reflect traditional techniques used by many cultures from around the world:

  • Stencil and Appliqué

  • Macrame

  • Weaving

  • Hand Embroidery

  • Block Printing

  • Pom-Pom Making

  • Jump Rope Making

For each of these disciplines, the curriculum includes three projects that correspond to different ages and ability levels: beginner (elementary school); intermediate (middle school); and advanced (high school through adult).

These classes are ideal for schools, community, centers, churches, and other community organizations. To learn more, click the link below.
