Sales Associate Job Description
The Sales Associate’s primary responsibility are activities related to the merchandising and sales of clothing, ornaments, home goods, jewelry and other items crafted by members of the Refugee Women’s Workshop at Stitch Buffalo through our retail shop and wholesale partners.  Additional responsibilities fall within the Repair and Alterations Department.

Responsibilities:
The Sales Associate reports directly to the Business and Finance Manager and supports the work of other staff members in areas of overlap.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in retail/wholesale sales

  • Strong background, focus, and/or education in retail merchandising

  • Demonstrated ability to work across a diverse range of communities and cultures

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with responsiveness to details and time sensitive tasks

  • Need for flexible hours, including nights and weekends
