Spinning on the Go: Mastering the Top Whorl Spindle—July 26, 2025 (1:00–4:00pm)
$63.00

Spinning on a drop spindle may seem daunting, even to a seasoned spinner, but really it is just a succession of steps that one needs to master. While spindle spinning is slower than spinning fiber on a wheel, its high portability makes it something that can be squeezed into the day whenever you have a little extra time!

During our class time together, you will learn about the fundamentals of spinning wool fiber into yarn, and how to do that on a top whorl spindle. We will also talk about plying, and finishing your final product so that it is ready to use for knitting, crochet, or any other application you have in mind. With practice you will soon be on your way to spinning your own yarn!

Class fee of $63 includes all tools, supplies, and training. PLUS your artisan-made spindle is yours to keep—along with a supply of high-quality Ashford Corriedale tri-color wool to get you started.

SKILLS NEEDED
None, just a desire to spindle spin!
