Hand-Embroidered Goddess Ornament by Ta Phay

$25.00

The goddess icon is a powerful depiction of the essence of womanhood. Unearthed at Stone Age settlement sites, abstract female figurines are some of our earliest art, dating to 20,000 BCE. The the goddess image may represent nature and abundance, power and nurturing, or have spiritual or religious significance. These ornaments celebrate the flowering of human creativity and awareness of the importance of women.

Our hand-embroidered products are each one of a kind—as individual as the woman who made it! Every piece is lovingly crafted in our studio or in the home of a resettled refugee woman from Buffalo, NY. All Stitch Buffalo products are made using upcycled materials, donated by the community and provided to our artists at no charge.
