Integration of Silk and Wool; Creating a Nuno-Felted Scarf

  • Stitch Buffalo 1215 Niagara Street Buffalo, NY, 14213 United States (map)

In this course you will learn the basics of nuno-felting, and the materials and techniques necessary to create this unique form of wearable art. In class we will use those techniques to create a lightweight and beautiful accessory, unique to your own style and taste.

This class is for adults, ages 18 and up. Felting can be repetitive and labor intensive. Please be prepared to stand for significant portions of class time. Special felting tools will be available, and alternate rolling techniques can be used if standing is a challenge. Wet felting is wet and soapy at times, and fabrics and fiber can sometimes bleed dye. Please wear appropriate clothing, bring several old bath towels, and be prepared to have some ‘good clean fun’.

Snacks will be provided
