Ujima Theater and Stitch Buffalo team up to bring you a very special Saturday workshop based on their upcoming production of The Color Purple.

Members of the WNY community are invited to join in a collaborative textile arts project in honor of this project and Women’s History Month. No sewing experience is required to participate. Working with Stitch Buffalo staff and volunteers, participants will create a textile-based collage related to the story of The Color Purple. Techniques used will be appliqué, stenciling, and word embroidery.

INSTRUCTOR
This class will be led by Stitch Buffalo founder and Executive Director Dawne Hoeg.

FEE AND ATTENDANCE
There is no fee to attend this class. If you register, please consider it a commitment to attend. If your plans change, please let us know ASAP so that we may offer your seat to another attendee.

SUSTAINABILITY
Stitch Buffalo is committed to fostering sustainability practices and reducing waste in the textile industry. In this workshop, we will strive to minimize waste and work with supplies that have been rescued for reuse.
