Denim Re-Design and Visible Mending—August 8, 2026 (10:00am–2:00pm)

Learn how to repair and beautify your favorite denim garments through visible mending techniques and stitched words. Cheri Vogelbaum will teach you how to elevate and prolong the lifespan of your clothing. Enjoy choosing fabric patches from our wide range of unique fabrics as well as learning how to prepare words or quotes for embroidery. Please bring your own denim garment—such as jeans, a jean skirt, or a jean jacket. Sturdy canvas or corduroy garments will also work.

• Basic hand embroidery skills
• Designing with color, pattern, and unique fabrics

INSTRUCTOR:
Cheri Vogelbaum is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative instructor with years of experience teaching hands-on techniques in textiles and jewelry. Her classes focus on building skills, confidence, and a supportive space for creative exploration.

Stitch Buffalo is committed to fostering sustainability practices and reducing waste in the textile industry. In this workshop, we will strive to minimize waste and work as much as possible with supplies that have been rescued for reuse.
