The MyFit Toque is a fun hat pattern you can customize for everyone in your family—with a wide variety of pom-poms, shaped brims, and fitted/scrunchy fits for all sizes from babies through adults. In this class, you will work through the pattern from planning and cutting to sewing, and leave with a one-of-a-kind hat you’ll be proud to wear!
PREREQUISITES:
Please note: This class is NOT appropriate for absolute beginners. Students must know how to thread and operate a sewing machine and should have completed at least a few basic projects within the last 5 years. Completion of Stitch Buffalo’s “Introduction to Machine Sewing” class or equivalent experience is required.
SUPPLIES:
This project uses very little fabric and is a great scrap-buster that can be made with knits, fleece, woven wool, etc. (see examples below!). We’ll have plenty of choices on-hand, or you’re welcome to bring materials from your own stash.
INSTRUCTOR:
Jane Cameron is an avid garment sewist and a board member of Stitch Buffalo. She has shared her knowledge as a teacher and assistant for numerous Stitch Buffalo classes. Her mottos are "no sewist left behind" and "fabric is alive.”
