$90.00

What is home? Is it a place on a map, or a feeling that lives somewhere deeper? A childhood memory, a smell, a sound? A dream you're still reaching for, or a place you carry with you always?

In this workshop, we'll explore the many meanings of home through the language of textile art. Whether your home is real or imagined, remembered or longed for, you'll give it shape, texture, and story through the intimate craft of a handmade fabric journal.

Using fabric, vintage findings, keepsakes, mementos, and treasured photos, you'll create a one-of-a-kind textile art journal that is uniquely, beautifully yours. All forms of creative expression are welcome here—there is no right or wrong way to tell your story.

Along the way, you'll explore and practice a range of textile skills including appliqué, slow stitch, sewing buttons, printing photos onto fabric, and experimenting with different bindings to bring your fabric book to life.

Before our creative session, we'll gather for a preliminary Zoom meeting—a warm, inspiring conversation with your instructor to spark ideas and help you begin dreaming about what home means to you. Come ready to explore, remember, and create.
