Machine Sewing: Rope Bowl Design Class—October 25, 2025 (10:00am–1:00pm)

Learn the basic techniques for creating a beautiful, one of a kind, rope-bowl. The instructor will present many variations from start to finish, including varying size and shape, adding wrapped fabric, and options for decorative finishes. In addition to making the rope bowl, the basic techniques taught in this class can easily be applied to other projects such as coasters, place mats, baskets, and more!

SKILLS NEEDED:
Students should have basic sewing machine skills (threading machine, winding bobbins, starting and stopping stitches, construction & seams for basic sewing projects. etc.). This class is not intended for absolute beginners.

INSTRUCTOR:
Lorraine Pepper is an artist and crafts instructor. Her interests include working in a wide variety of mediums, mostly concentrated in fiber arts and glass art. After a career as a Special Education Teacher, Lorraine now devotes her energy to creating purposeful and artistic handmade crafts. She lives in Sag Harbor, NY.
