Introduction to Sashiko Stitching—May 30, 2026 (2:00pm–4:00pm)
In this course, you will be introduced to the traditional Japanese art of functional embroidery, focusing on the "little stabs" running stitch technique used for reinforcing or decorating fabric. This beginner-friendly course will teach essential skills like handling specialized thread, using a thimble, marking geometric patterns, and stitching without knots. This will be accomplished by stitching on pre-printed fabric to create coasters, along with learning techniques to create your own designs. The class fee of $55 includes instruction ($40) and supply kit ($15).
