Kawandi Mini Quilts—October 17 , 2026 (10:00am–1:00pm)

$50.00

Kawandi is a traditional quilting style from the Siddi community in India, characterized by hand stitching fabric blocks, starting from the outside edge and working in. In this class, you will learn the Kawandi stitching technique and make a small quilt using scrap fabrics, batting, and hand stitches.  Hand-sewing these overlapping concentric rectangles to create a small quilt can be a very meditative practice! Your quilt can be framed, turned into a pillow, or whatever else you choose.
